Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data has the force of law in the Republic of Croatia and is applicable from 25 May 2018. years. Familiar with the GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation, and has brought a number of changes to the business of private companies as well as public institutions. After more than a hundred days of application of the Regulation, according to some current surveys, more than half of business entities did not align with GDPR. In the meantime, the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data (AZOP) has issued numerous official opinions and recommendations for interpretation of the provisions of GDPR, but alignment with the same or implementation thereof in practice still requires specific knowledge. For those who started implementing, time has come to assess the new state of affairs and identify those requirements that are currently the biggest challenge in the process of harmonization.

The seminar covered a number of interesting and current topics such as:

• how to keep records of processing activities,

• when personal data can be publicly disclosed,

• When a Personal Data Protection Officer is needed,

• data protection of workers,

• how to monitor the electronic communication of workers,

• when it is possible to shoot and photograph in a public place,

• how to properly issue membership cards and organize loyalty programs,

• IT Implementation of GDPR - what is needed to synchronize websites (privacy statements, cookie notifications).

The participants received answers to a number of questions as the seminar was specifically intended for employers who did not start implementation for practical start-up assistance as well as all other employers who started or completed the implementation to ensure compliance with practical examples and advice.
