ENTREPRENEURS' DAY 2013 – THE ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURS IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

Entrepreneurs' Day 2013, traditional annual entrepreneurs' get-together gathered 600 participants. They listened to keynote speeches by the Croatian President Ivo Josipović and Prime Minister Zoran Milanović. Moreover, H.E. Paul Vandoren, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Croatia addressed the audience, as well as Antty Peltomäki, Deputy Director-General of the Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, Brent Wilton, Secretary General of Business Europe,- the EU Employers' confederation and Markus Beyrer, Director General of the Business Europe.
A panel discussion was held in the working session. Participant in the panel were ex-CEA- presidents Branko Roglić, owner of Orbico group, Damir Kuštrak, Vice-.President of the Management Board of Agrokor Group, Emil Tedeschi, President of the Board of the Atlantic Group, Franjo Luković, president of the Board of the Zagrebačka banka and Ivica Mudrinić, president of the Board of T-Hrvatski telekom (T-Croatian Telecom) who is also the president of the CEA at the moment. Branko Grčić, Vice-President of the Government and the Minister of Regional Development and EU funds and Zvonimir Mrsić, president of the Board of Podravka company also contributed to the discussions in the panel.

„Measures and reforms that the CEA has been advocating for years are well known to the general public. We firmly believe they are not beneficial for employers only, but those measures in the long run lead to improved standard of living for all“ underlined Ivica Mudrinić and called the Government in power for a consensus on the economic policies.
