The initiative was designed as a response to the problem of mismatch of skills of young people to the labor market needs and the limited economic opportunities for women in transition economies. There will be two models applied through the initiative of the private sector for young people will - student practice and mentoring. Employers, educational institutions and professional associations will together open the possibility to young people between the ages of 18 and 25 for going on internship in leading companies operating in Croatia, and in addition to the mentoring program for young women to be provided with support of successful business women and their advice, support and knowledge to help in the planning and starting a career and overcoming obstacles that women face in the labor market and career development. Within the Initiative through lectures and discussions the participants will exchange knowledge and experience between employers and educational institutions in order to bring the educational programs closer to the needs of the labor market. Additional work will be done in the companies in order to improve internship programs and to ensure their even greater utility for students, but also the company itself. The initiative is being implemented with the support of People 1st UK, the renowned London consulting firm in the field of human resources management.
